Will interact extensively with the field sales organization and customers and travel 25% of the time worldwide. Will manage business relationships and contract negotiations with external partners. Will work with Corporate Development team to evaluate new business opportunities.

Qualifications include 5+ years of experience in the animal diagnostics testing industry, 3+ years of experience in product management or marketing, people management experience, ability to develop and execute a business strategy. The ideal candidate will have experience/degree in molecular biology technique (i.e., real time PCR), MBA and/or DVM.

The incumbent will assist the Director of Research and Nutritional Services in directing and coordinating research and development activities in the species of focus. Directs and coordinates activities of department concerned with providing internal and external customer technical services in conjunction with marketing activities by  performing the following duties:  Provide technical sales support to sales staff and customers within the United States and internationally. Direct, coordinate, and summarize studies as required to grow sales, develop new products or new applications of current products and provide data for registration and regulatory purposes.  Sign Animal Health/Veterinary Certificates and other documents as required. Maintain contacts and relationships with university, research and scientific/veterinary personnel and other influencers. Interact with industry veterinary groups, associations and individuals for the purposes of enhancing the sales process, improving the visibility of our client.

Qualifications include DVM with 1-5 years of experience and training. Ability to read and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, scientific peers and customers. Up to 60% travel including international travel.
