Quality Process Manager -Northwestern Ohio

Busy manufacturing plant in rural NW Ohio seeks Quality Process Manager who can improve consistency of products and continuously improve processes.

This is a highly responsible position associated with continuous improvement of processes and systems to insure the highest quality products and services in the industry; designing and implementing appropriate projects to improve the effectiveness and productivity of our systems and quality of our products, and assisting in management of capital improvement projects and other projects deemed necessary by the VP Operations. This position requires an extremely perceptive person, who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels. As unique situations present themselves, the successful candidate must be sensitive to customer needs, corporate goals and team member coordination.

Duties and Responsibilities: Responsibilities of this position include Quality Assurance Program –  Oversight and Improvements, Continuous Improvement Projects – Quality and Productivity and Special Projects. Quality Assurance Program: 

  • Spend the first 4 months learning the functions of each department understanding how each job fits into the manufacturing and distribution process. 
  • At the end of 4 months from hire present to the VPs of Operations and Sales, Plant Manager, Director of Distribution and President a formal review of the manufacturing and distribution processes. Come to agreement on changes to be implemented to provide improved quality and service to customers and a timeline for the implementation.
  • Then implement an improved Quality Assurance program by making the agreed changes in testing, inspection, documentation, training and continuous improvement with a focus on tracking key results factors across departments. 
  • Continuously improve our quality assurance systems and processes by dealing with issues as they arrive and formal semi-annual/quarterly updates. 
  • Reduce repeat occurrences of system breakdowns 
  • Work with operations managers to develop on-going quality and service training programs for manufacturing and distribution team members. The first program should be conducted within 6 months after hire. 
  • Appropriately respond to customer issues regarding the quality of our services or products. Work with sales and production to remedy the issue and create a process to eliminate the systemic cause of the issue if possible. 
  • Facilitate with the VP Operations the weekly Quality Assurance & Process Redesign Meeting. 
  • Specific responsibility to comply with FDA regulations for the feed industry • Roll out quality improvement programs to partner companies in Michigan and Indiana in year 2 from hire. Continuous Improvement Projects: 
  • Design and implement appropriate process control techniques to better enable us to manage, track and predict our processes within 9 months of hire. 
  • Recommend appropriate changes to our processes to improve efficiencies to meet the projected growth of our business.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION CANDIDATES MUST

  • have 5 or more years experience in a quality assurance leadership role 
  • have a reason to live in northwest or western Ohio
  • come from with the food, beverage, pharmaceutical or auto industries 
  • be able to function well in a Non Union environment 
  • possess a applicable BS degree
  • have a very stable job history 
  • possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

Production Manager – Missoula, Montana

To be considered for the Role:

  •  You must have a BS degree and a minimum of 2 years of production management experience in a food processing facility with further processing of fresh meats (Pork Products Preferred).
  • You must have supervisory experience and in depth knowledge & expertise with HACCP & GMP policies & procedures, scheduling & documentation.

Management:  Reporting to the plant manager you will be responsible for operation, production, safety & policy enforcement for the plant along with administering HACCP & GMP policies.  You will maintain production schedules, daily reports and also direct activities of the maintenance personnel & coordinate contractor activities.

Supervisory:  Your skills will also allow you to coordinate new employee activities & training, coordinate with purchasing to provide for adequate supplies, interface with internal & external customer, understand support & maintain Quality Management Systems, Operating policies & Daily Safety Programs.
