Dairy Nutrition Specialist

Locations:             Southeastern New York or  Northeastern Pennsylvania

Salary:    $35,000 – $75,000, depending on experience

General Comments       

Spend your days helping Dairy Producers improve profitability and animal health by providing animal nutrition solutions with the best feed available. Regional animal feed company seeks to hire a Dairy Nutrition Specialist for a territory in Delaware and Broome counties to consult with dairy producers and sell animal nutrition to local farms.

Compensation is commensurate with experience. This is a local search. Candidates should be located in south east New York or north east Pennsylvania.

Qualifications

This position requires candidates to have a basic understanding of dairy production, a good understanding of agriculture and sales aptitude, preferably selling in the dairy business. Successful candidates may have sold feed, genetics, farm equipment, dairy equipment or animal health products. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, have an outgoing personality and enjoys 1 on 1 interaction with farmers. Candidates must be self motivated and self directed. A four-year degree in agriculture, dairy science or animal science is strongly preferred. Recent grads who desire a career in sales and come from the dairy industry are encouraged to apply.
